The longer windage tube helps to prevent oil from pouring into the valve cover during hard cornering or off roading. The stainless steel tubes will resist rust and corrosion and fit 1300 through 1600cc engines which were original in 1966 through 1977 Standard Beetles, 1971 through 1979 Super Beetles, 1966 through 1974 Karmann Ghias, 1963 through 1971 Type 2 Bus models, 1962 through 1973 Type 3s and 1973 through 1974 Things. Push Rod Tube, 40hp (1200cc), 113-109-335 is a nice quality push rod tube. These should be expanded prior to installation, so they put outward pressure on the seals for a dry engine. ONLY use Genuine Silicone Push rod Tube Seals for longest leak-free life
Be sure to install these with the welded seam inches UP inches .
You can also use these 40hp tubes on 1600cc based engines that are narrower than stock due to fly cutting and more compression since 40hp tubes are shorter than 1300-1600cc tubes!
