Since full flow is the most desirable method of oil filtration for the vw engine this adapter can be used with external oil cooler installations or special pump cover. Kit includes adapter and hardware Adapter has 3/8 inches NPT threads this oil filter adapter plate made by EMPI allows you to install a standard spin-on filter and mount it in the location of your choice. Made of cast aluminum, the adapter can be mounted on the motor using EMPI s exhaust flange mounts (P/N 16-8240/16-8241) or bolted onto the firewall. Adapter has inlet and outlet ports on the right hand side with 3/8 female NPT threads and comes with a 3/4 x 16 nipple for the filter.;This adapter fits EMPI s P/N 9230, 9240 and 9250 spin-on oil filters
