The EMPI muffler, header or extractor installation kit comes with 2 gaskets for the exhaust ports at the head, 2 intake heat riser gaskets and the nuts and bolts for the intake manifold to heat riser connection. The gasket kit is included with most of EMPI's header systems, but is sold here as a kit. The exhaust gasket kit can be used on 1954 through 1974 VW Beetles, 1956 through 1974 Karmann Ghias, 1955 through 1971 Type 2 Bus models and 1973 and 1974 Things.

The VW Heat Riser Block-Offs cover the heat riser flanges on the exhaust when the intake heat riser is not used. This is commonly the case when running dual carburetors that do not use a pre-heat pipe. The block offs can be used on 1100cc through 1600cc exhaust systems. The block offs include gaskets to prevent leaks at the exhaust port.

Covers heat risers flanges when intake heat riser is not used. A must when installing most dual carb kits.

The EMPI j-tube exhaust flange kit comes with 2 steel flanges to weld to your existing muffler along with the gaskets and hardware needed to complete the installation. Once welded in place you can then securely bolt the J-tubes to the header or muffler to help eliminate exhaust leaks.
