Brake Fluid Reservoir With Cap, 1961-66 Beetle, Karmann Ghia, and Type 3.
This commonly cracks since the plastic gets brittle with age and exposure to the brake fluid. You should also replace the brake fluid hose and grommet on the master at the same time. Remember to only use DOT 3 fluid

Type 3: 68-79 -
Replacement reservoir for type 2 master cylinders and buggy master cylinders. This is the most common unit because it screws onto the master. Old units can begin to leak around the bottom. When installing be sure to use a wrench on the metal thread. Turning with the plastic cup will result in failure. REPLACEMENT SEALING WASHER # N138272, SOLD SEPARATELY
